The 27-hole Kierland Golf Club was designed by Scott Miller with
more than 300 bunkers, large, cool lakes, dry washes and stands
of desert trees. The three nine-hole layouts—Acacia, Mesquite
and Ironwood—are named for trees that dominate the landscape.
Each nine plays with a distinct style created by varying treatments
of the terrain, thrilling shifts in elevation, and characterized
by desert-style layouts as well as more traditional design elements.
The park-like setting of hills and valleys have emerald green fairways
etched into golden-colored desert grasses, sweeping over constantly
changing elevations to spacious bent grass greens. Surrounded by
sweeping vistas of Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain, Pinnacle
Peak and The McDowells, Kierland Golf Club is punctuated by the
expansive and dramatic beauty of the Scottsdale, Arizona desert.
